Matthew 26:26-30 - The Lord's Supper

²⁶ And, as they were eating, Jesus took a loaf, and having blessed, broke it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. ²⁷ And he took a cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; ²⁸ for this is my blood of the covenant, which is shed for many for remission of sins. ²⁹ And I say to you, I shall not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in the kingdom of my Father. ³⁰ And having sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

²³ And he took a cup, and having given thanks, gave it to them; and they all drank of it. ²⁴ And he said to them, This is my blood of the covenant, which is shed for many. ²⁵ Truly do I say to you, I shall not drink hereafter of the fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God. ²⁶ And having sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

¹⁴ And when the hour had come, he placed himself at table, and the apostles with him. ¹⁵ And he said to them, Earnestly have I desired to eat this passover with you, before I suffer. ¹⁶ For I say to you, that I shall eat it no more, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God. ¹⁷ And he took a cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves. ¹⁸ For I say to you, that I shall not drink henceforth of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall have come.

¹⁹ And he took a loaf, and gave thanks, and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, This is my body, which is given for you; this do in remembrance of me.

²⁰ And in like manner he took the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is about to be shed for you. ²¹ But lo! the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table. ²² For the Son of man indeed goeth away, as it hath been determined; but woe to that man by whom he is betrayed.

²³ And they began to inquire among themselves, which of them it was that was about to do this.
