Matthew 6:19-24 - The Sermon On The Mount: Treasure In Heaven

19 Do not accumulate large amounts of wealth on earth. This is where moth and rust consume and where thieves break in and steal. 20 Accumulate wealth in heaven where neither moth nor rust consumes, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 Your heart will be where you keep your wealth.

22 The eyes are like a lamp for the body. If your eye is clear (simple) (focused) (single minded), your whole body will be full of [spiritual] light. 23 But if your eye is wicked, your body will be in darkness. If that light in you is really darkness, how great a darkness it must be.

24 You cannot serve two masters. You will hate one and love the other. You will be loyal to one master and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money (wealth) (material possessions).
