Matthew 16:1-4 - The Signs Of The Times

¹ Then the Parisees and Saducees came and tempting, desired him to shew them a sign from heaven.

² He answering said to them, In the evening ye say, It will be fair weather; for the sky is red: ³ And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day; for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye know to discern the face of the sky: can ye not discern the signs of the times? ⁴ A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh a sign; but there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonah. And he left them and departed.

⁵⁴ And he said to the people also, When ye see a cloud rising out of the west, straitway ye say, There cometh a heavy shower, and so it is. ⁵⁵ And when ye find the south wind blowing, ye say, There will be sultry heat; and it is so. ⁵⁶ Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the earth and of the sky: how do ye not discern this season?
