Matthew 16:21-23 - Jesus Predicts His Death And Resurrection

Matthew 16:21-23

21 From that time Jesus began to shew his disciples, That he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day. 22 Then Peter taking hold of him, rebuked him, saying, Favour thyself, Lord: this shall in no wise be unto thee.

23 But he turning said to Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan; thou art an offence to me: for thou savourest not the things of God, but the things of men.

Mark 8:31-33

31 And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again. 32 And he spake that saying openly.

33 And Peter taking hold of him, rebuked him. But he turning about, and looking on his disciples rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan; for thou savourest not the things of God, but the things of men.

Luke 9:21-22

21 Peter answering said, The Christ of God. But he straitly charged and commanded them, 22 to tell this to no man, saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day.
