Proverbs 16:25-Proverbs 17:6 - Words Of Advice To A Wise Son

25 There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end is the way of death!

26 He who works labors for himself. His hungry mouth spurs him on.

27 An ungodly man digs up evil. It lies on his lips like a burning fire.

28 A perverse man sows discord. A whisperer separates good friends.

29 A violent man entices his neighbor and leads him in bad ways.

30 He shuts his eyes to devise perversity. He moves his lips to bring evil.

31 Gray hair is a crown of glory when it is found in the way of righteousness.

32 Being slow to anger is better than being mighty. Being self-controlled is better than ruling a city.

33 The lot is cast into the lap. But every decision is from Jehovah.

1 Better is dry bread in peace than a house full of feasting with discord.

2 A wise servant will rule over a son who causes shame and share the inheritance among the brothers.

3 The refining pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold but Jehovah proves the heart.

4 The evildoer pays attention to false lips. A liar listens attentively to a wicked tongue.

5 When you mock the poor you disgrace your Maker. He who is glad at calamity will be punished.

6 Grandchildren are the crowns of old men. Fathers take pride in their children.
