Proverbs 19:13-25 - A Foolish Son Brings Ruin To Others
A foolish son is a disgrace to his father. A contentious wife is like drips from a leaky roof.
Real estate and riches are the inheritance of fathers. A prudent (wise) (sensible) wife is from Jehovah.
Laziness propels one into a deep sleep. An idle person will suffer hunger.
He who obeys the commandment saves his life. But he who is careless of his ways will die.
When you help the poor (needy) (lowly) (depressed) you lend to Jehovah. He will pay you back.
Correct your son while there is hope. Do not contribute to his death.
A man of great anger will suffer punishment. Rescue him once and then do it again.
Listen to counsel and accept instruction (discipline), that you may be wise in the future.
Many intentions are in men's hearts. Only counsel from Jehovah will stand.
Kindness is desired in a man. A poor man is better than a liar.
Respect for Jehovah leads to life. He who has it will be satisfied. He will not be visited by evil.
A lazy man hides his hand in the dish and will not so much as bring it to his mouth again.
Strike a scoffer and the simple will be wary. Reprove someone who has understanding, and he will discern knowledge.
