Now David knew that Saul was plotting evil against him; so he said to Abiathar the priest, "Bring the ephod here." So I have told you today, but you have not obeyed the LORD your God, even in whatever He has sent me to tell you. Therefore you should now clearly understand that you will die by the sword, by famine and by pestilence, in the place where you wish to go to reside.
