As for the conqueror, I will give him to sit down with me upon my throne; as I also have conquered, and sat down with my Father upon his throne.
Morish
An early system of philosophy professedly Christian. One of their theories was that the Lord was an ?on and not really a man. Apparently to refute this the apostle insists on Christ having come 'in flesh.' 1Jo 4:2-3; 2Jo 1:7. The same may be alluded to in Col 2:9, "in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily," in opposition to their mysticism. See GENEALOGIES.

By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses Jesus Christ has come in the flesh, is from God. And every spirit that does not confess Jesus, is not from God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, which you have heard that it comes, and now is in the world already.
