And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and gave it to the disciples, and said: Take, eat; this is my body.
But I say to you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, till that day when I drink it with you new in the kingdom of my Father.
Go, therefore, make disciples of all nations, immersing them (the disciples) into the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit;
Then they that gladly received his word were immersed, and on that day there were added to them about three thou sand souls. And they attended constantly to the teaching of the apostles, and the fellowship, and the breaking of bread, and the prayers.
Purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new mass, as you are without leaven; for Christ, our passover, has been sacrificed for us.
Now, brethren, I do not wish you to be ignorant, that all our fathers were under the cloud, and that all passed through the sea, and were all immersed into Moses, in the cloud and in the sea; read more. and did all eat the same spiritual food, and. did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was the Christ.
For as often as you eat this bread, and drink this cup, you do show the Lord's death till he come.
Great is this mystery; but I speak of Christ and of the church.
