And a river went out of Eden to water the garden: and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.

And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same that compasseth the whole land of Cush.

And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: which floweth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.

In that same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, To thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates:

So he fled with all that he had; and he arose, and passed over the river, and set his face towards the mount Gilead.

And Samlah died, and Saul of Rehoboth by the river reigned in his stead.

And it came to pass at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh dreamed: and behold, he stood by the river.

And behold, there came up out of the river seven well-favored cows and fat-fleshed; and they fed in a meadow.

And behold, seven other cows came up after them out of the river, ill-favored and lean-fleshed; and stood by the other cows upon the brink of the river.

And Pharaoh said to Joseph, In my dream, behold, I stood upon the bank of the river:

And behold, there came out of the river seven cows, fat-fleshed, and well-favored; and they fed in a meadow:
