Neither shall there be any work for Egypt, which the head or tail, palm-branch or rush, may do.

And Jehovah will cut off from Israel head and tail, palm-branch and rush, in one day:

For before the harvest, when the blossoming is over, and the flower becometh a ripening grape, he shall both cut off the sprigs with pruning-knives, and take away and cut down the branches.

When its branches are withered they shall be broken off; women shall come and set them on fire. For it is a people of no intelligence; therefore he that made them will not have mercy on them, and he who formed them will shew them no favour.
