And Daniel remained there until the first year of [the reign of] King Cyrus [over Babylon; now this was at the end of the seventy-year exile of Judah (the Southern Kingdom) in Babylonia, as foretold by Jeremiah].

Thereupon, Arioch - with haste, brought in Daniel before the king, - and, thus, he said to him - I have found a man of the sons of the exile of Judah, who, the interpretation - unto the king, will make known.

Then, Daniel, was brought in before the king, - the king spake and said unto Daniel, Art, thou, that Daniel, that is of the sons of the exile of Judah, whom the king my father brought out of Judah?

Then answered they and were saying before the king, Daniel, who is of the sons of the exile of Judah, hath made thee, O king, of none account, also the interdict which thou hast signed, - but, three times a day, is asking his petition.

And those who understand among the people shall teach many; yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by exile, and spoil, for days.
