And after certain days, king Agrippa and Bernice came to Cesarea, to salute Festus.

Then Agrippa said to Festus, I would also hear the man myself. And he said, To-morrow thou shalt hear him.

And on the morrow, when Agrippa was come and Bernice with great pomp, and were entered into the place of audience, with the tribunes and principal men of the city, at the command of Festus, Paul was brought forth.

And Festus said, King Agrippa, and all ye who are present with us, ye see this man, about whom all the multitude of the Jews have pleaded with me, both at Jerusalem and here, crying out, that he ought not to live any longer.

Of whom I have nothing certain to send to my lord: wherefore I have brought him before you, and especially before thee, O king Agrippa, that after examination taken, I may have somewhat to write.

Then Agrippa said to Paul, It is permitted thee to speak for thyself.

And Paul, stretching forth his hand, made his defence. I think myself happy, King Agrippa, that I am this day to make my defence before thee, concerning all those things whereof I am accused by the Jews,

To which our twelve tribes, worshiping continually night and day, hope to attain: concerning which hope, King Agrippa, I am accused by the Jews.

From that time, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision,

King Agrippa, Believest thou the prophets? I know that thou believest.

Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.

And Agrippa said to Festus, This man might have been set at liberty, if he had not appealed unto Cesar.
