being tempted for forty days by the devil. In those days he ate nothing, and when they had ended, he was hungry.

When the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from him until an opportune time.

And when our days there were ended, we left and started on our journey, while they all, with wives and children, brought us on our way until we were out of the city. After kneeling down on the beach and praying, we said farewell to one another.

and he threw him into the abyss, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he would not deceive the nations any more, until the thousand years were ended. After these things he must be released for a short time.

The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection.

When the thousand years are ended, Satan will be released from his prison
