Then Jacob said to Laban, “Give me my wife, for my time is completed, that I may go in to her.”

Complete the week of this one, and we will give you the other also for the service which you shall serve with me for another seven years.”

Jacob did so and completed her week, and he gave him his daughter Rachel as his wife.

Then she said, “Wait, my daughter, until you know how the matter turns out; for the man will not rest until he has settled it today.”

The taskmasters pressed them, saying, “Complete your work quota, your daily amount, just as when you had straw.” Moreover, the foremen of the sons of Israel, whom Pharaoh’s taskmasters had set over them, were beaten and were asked, “Why have you not completed your required amount either yesterday or today in making brick as previously?” Then the foremen of the sons of Israel came and cried out to Pharaoh, saying, “Why do you deal this way with your servants?read more.
There is no straw given to your servants, yet they keep saying to us, ‘Make bricks!’ And behold, your servants are being beaten; but it is the fault of your own people.” But he said, “You are lazy, very lazy; therefore you say, ‘Let us go and sacrifice to the Lord.’ So go now and work; for you will be given no straw, yet you must deliver the quota of bricks.”

Thus all the work of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting was completed; and the sons of Israel did according to all that the Lord had commanded Moses; so they did.

So Solomon built the house and finished it.

In the eleventh year, in the month of Bul, which is the eighth month, the house was finished throughout all its parts and according to all its plans. So he was seven years in building it.

Thus all the work that King Solomon performed in the house of the Lord was finished. And Solomon brought in the things dedicated by his father David, the silver and the gold and the utensils, and he put them in the treasuries of the house of the Lord.

Now it came about when Solomon had finished building the house of the Lord, and the king’s house, and all that Solomon desired to do,

Now three times in a year Solomon offered burnt offerings and peace offerings on the altar which he built to the Lord, burning incense with them on the altar which was before the Lord. So he finished the house.

Now Hiram made the basins and the shovels and the bowls. So Hiram finished doing all the work which he performed for King Solomon in the house of the Lord:

“The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house, and his hands will finish it. Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent me to you.

And the elders of the Jews were successful in building through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo. And they finished building according to the command of the God of Israel and the decree of Cyrus, Darius, and Artaxerxes king of Persia. This temple was completed on the third day of the month Adar; it was the sixth year of the reign of King Darius.

So the wall was completed on the twenty-fifth of the month Elul, in fifty-two days.

Now behold, I will put ropes on you so that you cannot turn from one side to the other until you have completed the days of your siege.

“In the latter period of their rule,

And Jesus said to him, “Friend, do what you have come for.” Then they came and laid hands on Jesus and seized Him.

For which one of you, when he wants to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate the cost to see if he has enough to complete it?

So we urged Titus that as he had previously made a beginning, so he would also complete in you this gracious work as well.

But now finish doing it also, so that just as there was the readiness to desire it, so there may be also the completion of it by your ability.

To this end also we pray for you always, that our God will count you worthy of your calling, and fulfill every desire for goodness and the work of faith with power,

But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

Say to Archippus, “Take heed to the ministry which you have received in the Lord, that you may fulfill it.”

But I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of the grace of God.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith;

The leaders of Succoth said, “Are the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna already in your hands, that we should give bread to your army?”
