And Cush fathered Nimrod. {He was the first on earth to be a mighty warrior}.

He was a mighty hunter before Yahweh. Therefore it was said, "Like Nimrod a mighty hunter before Yahweh."

And Cush fathered Nimrod; he himself began to be mighty on earth.

And they will shepherd the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod at its entrances. And he will rescue [us] from the Assyrian when he comes into our land, and when they tread upon our border.
