And it chanced, at that season, as Jeroboam was gone out of Jerusalem, that the prophet Ahijah the Shilonite met him by the way, having a new mantle on him, and they two alone in the field.

And so the king hearkened not unto the people: for the turning away was of the LORD, to perform his saying, which the LORD said by Ahijah the Shilonite unto Jeroboam the son of Nebat.

And as soon as he was king, he slew all the house of Jeroboam and left him nought that breathed, until he had put him clean out, agreeing unto the saying of the LORD which he spake by his servant Ahijah the Shilonite,

And the rest of the acts of king Solomon, both first and last, are written in the book of Nathan the Prophet and in the prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite and in the visions of Iddo the seer of visions against Jeroboam the son of Nebat.

And so the king hearkened not unto the people, for the turning away was of God, that the LORD might make good his saying which he spake by the hand of Ahijah the Shilonite to Jeroboam the son of Nebat.
