Then he asked the men of that place, saying, where is the harlot that was openly by the way-side? and they said, There was no harlot in this place.

And when he came, lo, Eli sat upon a seat by the way-side watching: for his heart trembled for the ark of God. And when the man came into the city, and told it, all the city cried out.

The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the way side: they have set gins for me. Selah.

And the side-chambers were three, one over another, and thirty in order; and they entered into the wall which was of the house for the side-chambers around, that they might have hold, but they had not hold in the wall of the house.

The thickness of the wall, which was for the side-chamber without, was five cubits: and that which was left was the place of the side-chambers that were within.

And he measured the length of the building over against the separate place which was behind it, and its galleries on the one side and on the other side, a hundred cubits, with the inner temple, and the porches of the court;

So that the face of a man was towards the palm-tree on the one side, and the face of a young lion towards the palm-tree on the other side: it was made through all the house around.

And the south side southward, from Tamar even to the waters of strife in Kadesh, the river to the great sea. And this is the south side southward.

The west side also shall be the great sea from the border, till a man cometh over against Hamath. This is the west side.

And by the border of Dan, from the east side to the west side, a portion for Asher.

And by the border of Asher, from the east side even to the west side, a portion for Naphtali.

And by the border of Naphtali, from the east side to the west side, a portion for Manasseh.

And by the border of Manasseh, from the east side to the west side, a portion for Ephraim.

And by the border of Ephraim, from the east side even to the west side, a portion for Reuben.

And by the border of Reuben, from the east side to the west side, a portion for Judah.

As for the rest of the tribes, from the east side to the west side, Benjamin shall have a portion.

And by the border of Benjamin, from the east side to the west side, Simeon shall have a portion.

And by the border of Simeon, from the east side to the west side, Issachar a portion.

And by the border of Issachar, from the east side to the west side, Zebulun a portion.

And by the border of Zebulun, from the east side to the west side, Gad a portion.

Then I Daniel looked, and behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river.

And two olive-trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side.

Then I answered, and said to him, What are these two olive-trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon its left side?

And the border went over from thence towards Luz, to the side of Luz (which is Beth-el) southward; and the border descended to Ataroth-adar, near the hill that lieth on the south side of the nether Beth-horon.

And then the border turneth westward to Aznoth-tabor, and goeth out from thence to Hukkok, and reacheth to Zebulun on the south side, and reacheth to Asher on the west side, and to Judah upon Jordan towards the sun-rising.

The way of an eagle in the air; the way of a serpent upon a rock; the way of a ship in the midst of the sea; and the way of a man with a maid.

And he came to the sheep-cotes by the way, where was a cave; and Saul went in to cover his feet: and David and his men remained in the sides of the cave.

Now these are the names of the tribes. From the north end to the border of the way of Hethlon, as one goeth to Hamath, Hazar-enan, the border of Damascus northward, to the limit of Hamath; for these are his sides east and west; a portion for Dan.

And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the way of his father, and in the way of his mother, and in the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin:

And a highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called, The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the way-faring men, though fools, shall not err therein.

And as for me, when I came from Padan, Rachel died by me in the land of Canaan, in the way, when yet there was but a little way to come to Ephrath: and I buried her there in the way of Ephrath, the same is Beth-lehem.
