But Festus, wishing to gain favor with the Jews, answered Paul and said, Art thou willing to go up to Jerusalem, and there be tried on these charges before me?

But Paul said, I stand at the judgmentseat of Caesar, where I ought to be tried. To the Jews I have done no wrong, as thou also very well knowest.

And while they were making a stay of some days there, Festus laid the case of Paul before the king, saying, There is a certain man left in bonds by Felix,

but had against him certain questions of their own religion, and of one Jesus that was dead, whom Paul affirmed to be alive.

But Paul having appealed to be kept in custody for the judgment of Augustus, I ordered him to be kept till I should send him up to Caesar.

Accordingly on the morrow Agrippa and Bernice came with great pomp, and entered into the place of hearing, with the chief captains and principal men of the city, and at the order of Festus Paul was brought forward.

And Agrippa said to Paul, Thou art permitted to speak for thyself. Then Paul stretched forth his hand and made his defence:

And as he was thus speaking in his defence, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, thou art beside thyself; much learning is making thee mad.

Then Agrippa said to Paul, With little effort thou thinkest to persuade me to become a Christian.

And Paul said, I would to God, that with little effort or with great, not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, might be made such as I am, except these bonds.

And when it was determined that we should sail for Italy, they delivered Paul and certain other prisoners to a centurion named Julius, of the Augustan band.

And the next day we landed at Sidon; and Julius treated Paul kindly, and gave him leave to go to his friends, and receive their care.

And much time having been spent, and the voyage being now dangerous, because the Fast had already gone by, Paul advised them,

But the centurion believed the master and the owner of the ship more than what was spoken by Paul.

And after there had been much abstinence from food, Paul stood up in the midst of them and said, Sirs, ye should have hearkened to me, and not have put to sea from Crete, nod thus brought upon yourselves this injury and loss.

saying, Fear not, Paul! Thou must stand before Caesar; and lo, God hath given thee all those that sail with thee.

Paul said to the centurion and to the soldiers, If these men do not stay in the ship, ye cannot be saved.

And while the day was coming on, Paul exhorted them all to take food; saying, This is the fourteenth day that ye have waited, and continued fasting, having taken nothing.

But the centurion, wishing to save Paul, kept them from their purpose, and ordered those who could swim to cast themselves first into the sea, and get to land,

And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid it on the fire, there came forth a viper by reason of the heat, and fastened on his hand.

And it happened that the father of Publius was lying sick with a fever and dysentery; to whom Paul went in, and, when he had prayed, laid his hands on him, and healed him.

And from thence, the brethren having heard of us came to meet us as far as Appii Forum, and the Three Taverns; at the sight of whom Paul thanked God and took courage.

And when we had come to Rome, Paul was permitted to dwell by himself, with the soldier that guarded him.

So, disagreeing with one another, they took their departure, after Paul had spoken one word: Well did the Holy Spirit speak through Isaiah the prophet to your fathers,

Paul, a called apostle of Christ Jesus, through the will of God, and Sosthenes the brother,

What I mean is this, that each of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.

Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were ye baptized the name of Paul?

For while one saith, I am of Paul, and another, I am of Apollos, are ye not [like common] men?

Who then is Apollos, and who is Paul, but ministers through whom ye believed, and that as the Lord gave to each?

whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come,all are yours;
