But the centurion was more persuaded by the pilot and the owner of the ship than by what was being said by Paul.
When they had gone a long time without food, then Paul stood up among them and said, "Men, you should have followed my advice and not to have set sail from Crete and incurred this damage and loss.
So in the present case I tell you, keep away from these men and let them alone, for if this plan or action is of men, it will fail; but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them; or else you may even be found fighting against God."
And in this matter I give my advice: it is best for you now to complete what a year ago you began not only to do but to desire. Now finish the work, so that your readiness to do it may be matched by your completion of it, according to your means. For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what a man has, not according to what he does not have.

But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, to be with you forever
"But when the Counselor comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, he will testify of me.
But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth; for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak; and he will tell you things to come.
