And the priests consented to receive no more money of the people: But that it should go to the mending of the temple.

And the king stood by a pillar and made a covenant before the LORD that they should walk after the LORD, and keep his commandments and his witnesses and his ordinances with all their hearts and all their souls, and make good the words of the said covenant that were written in the foresaid book. And all the people consented to the covenant.

Now as they had consented, even so they were obedient, and let them go free.

So he consented to them in this matter, and proved them ten days.

And he consented, and sought opportunity to betray him unto them, when the people were away.

When they desired him to tarry longer time with them, he consented not,

And when the blood of thy witness Stephen was shed, I also stood by, and consented unto his death and kept the raiment of them that slew him.'
