Ark » In the tabernacle. Called the ark » Of God
Saul said to Ahijah [the priest], “Bring the ark of God here.” For at that time the ark of God was with the sons of Israel.

David was afraid of God that day, and he said, “How can I bring the ark of God home with me?”
David made for himself houses in the City of David, and he prepared a place for the ark of God and pitched a tent for it. Then David said, None should carry the ark of God but the Levites, for the Lord chose them to carry the ark of God and to minister to Him forever.
