John answered them saying, I baptise with water. In the midst of you stands, whom ye do not know,

Jesus answered and said to her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that says to thee, Give me to drink, thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

They said to him therefore, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye know neither me nor my Father. If ye had known me, ye would have known also my Father.

The man answered and said to them, Now in this is a wonderful thing, that ye do not know whence he is, and he has opened mine eyes.

for those who dwell in Jerusalem, and their rulers, not having known him, have fulfilled also the voices of the prophets which are read on every sabbath, by judging him.

See what love the Father has given to us, that we should be called the children of God. For this reason the world knows us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we children of God, and what we shall be has not yet been manifested; we know that if it is manifested we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. And every one that has this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure. read more.
Every one that practises sin practises also lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness. And ye know that he has been manifested that he might take away our sins; and in him sin is not. Whoever abides in him, does not sin: whoever sins, has not seen him or known him.

Whosoever goes forward and abides not in the doctrine of the Christ has not God. He that abides in the doctrine, he has both the Father and the Son.

And now, children, abide in him, that if he be manifested we may have boldness, and not be put to shame from before him at his coming.

Abide in me and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abide in the vine, thus neither can ye unless ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches. He that abides in me and I in him, he bears much fruit; for without me ye can do nothing. Unless any one abide in me he is cast out as the branch, and is dried up; and they gather them and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. read more.
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will and it shall come to pass to you.

Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. He that does good is of God. He that does evil has not seen God.

We know that every one begotten of God does not sin, but he that has been begotten of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.
