Therefore I say to you, All manner of sin and evilspeaking will be forgiven to men; but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. And whoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaketh against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this world, or in the world to come.

Truly do I say to you, All sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and the blasphemies wherewith they shall blaspheme; but he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Spirit hath no forgiveness forever, but is exposed to everlasting sin.

And every one that shall speak a word against the Son of man, it will be forgiven him; but to him that hath blasphemed against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven. For it is impossible that those who have once been enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and been make partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, and have fallen away, should again be renewed to repentance, since they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to open shame. read more.
For the earth which hath drunk in the rain that cometh often upon it, and beareth plants useful to those for whose sake it is tilled, receiveth blessing from God; but if it bear thorns and briers it is disapproved, and is near to being accursed; and its end is to be burned.

For if we sin willingly after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remaineth a sacrifice for sins; but a certain fearful looking for judgment, and an indignation by fire, which will devour the adversaries. He that hath set at nought the law of Moses dieth without mercy under two or three witnesses; read more.
of how much heavier punishment, think ye, will he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite to the Spirit of grace?

If any one see his brother sin a sin not unto death, he shall ask, and shall give him life,to those who sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death; for that I do not say that he shall pray. All unrighteousness is sin; and there is a sin not unto death.

But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies; do good to those who hate you; bless those who curse you; pray for those who are spiteful to you.


Ye have heard that it was said, "Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy." But I say to you, Love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you;

Is any sick among you? let him call to him the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up; even if he have committed sins, it shall be forgiven him. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that ye may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous man availeth much.


I exhort then, first of all, that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men; for kings, and all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and tranquil life in all godliness and propriety. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour,
