And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and the sojourners with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for they came over to him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that the LORD his God was with him. Also Jehoiada appointed the oversight of the house of the LORD to the hands of the priests, the Levites, whom David had assigned in the house of the LORD, to offer the burnt offerings of the LORD, as it is written in the law of Moses, with rejoicing and with singing, as it was ordained by David. Now for a long time Israel has been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law. read more.
But when they in their trouble did turn unto the LORD God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them. And in those times there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in, but great turmoil was upon all the inhabitants of the countries. And nation was destroyed by nation, and city by city: for God did trouble them with all adversity. Be you strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.
