Comfort » The duty of administering
Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are disorderly, comfort the feeble-minded, support the weak, be patient towards all men.
Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.
But he that prophesieth, speaketh to men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.
For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.
So that on the other hand, ye ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such one should be swallowed up with excessive sorrow.
Wherefore, comfort one another with these words.
Wherefore, comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants. And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
Sufficient to such a man is this punishment, which was inflicted by many. So that on the other hand, ye ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such one should be swallowed up with excessive sorrow. Wherefore I beseech you that ye would confirm your love towards him.
