Jesus heard that they had excommunicated him: and as soon as he had found him he said unto him, "Dost thou believe on the son of God?" He answered, and said, "And who is it, Lord, that I might believe on him?" And Jesus said unto him, "Thou hast seen him, and he it is that talketh with thee." And he said, "Lord, I believe," and worshipped him.

When Silas and Timothy were come from Macedonia, Paul was constrained by the spirit, to testify to the Jews that Jesus was very Christ.
Then said Paul, "John verily baptised with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people that they should believe on him, which should come after him. That is on Christ Jesus." When they heard that, they were baptised in the name of the Lord Jesus.

And the people gave heed unto those things which Philip spake with one accord, in that they heard and saw the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed of them. And many taken with palsies, and many that halted, were healed. read more.
And there was great joy in that city. And there was a certain man called Simon, which beforetime in the same city, used witchcraft and bewitched the people of Samaria, saying that he was a man that could do great things. Whom they regarded, from the least to the greatest, saying, "This fellow is the great power of God." And him they set much by, because of long time with sorcery he had mocked their wits. But as soon as they believed Philip's preaching of the kingdom of God and of the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptised: both men and women.
