Being therefore in his presence, they asked him, saying, Lord, is this the time when you will restore again the kingdom to Israel?

Brethren, my hearty desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they may be saved.
for I tell you, that Jesus Christ was a minister to the Jews, to manifest the veracity of God in fulfilling the promises made to the fathers:
to the Jews, I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to those who are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain those who are under the law;
him hath God rais'd by his power to be the author of salvation, by giving repentance to Israel, and the remission of their sins.
