Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had Moses, his chosen, not stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, so that he wouldn't destroy them.

Jesus said to him, "Go your way. Your son lives." The man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he went his way. As he was now going down, his servants met him, saying that his son was alive.

Hezekiah the king, and Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz, prayed because of this, and cried to heaven. Jacob lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, Esau was coming, and with him four hundred men. He divided the children between Leah, Rachel, and the two handmaids. He put the handmaids and their children in front, Leah and her children after, and Rachel and Joseph at the rear. So Jephthah passed over to the children of Ammon to fight against them; and the LORD delivered them into his hand.
