Because every one that is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory which overcometh the world, our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, except he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

who by faith vanquished kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, extinguished the force of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, they were made strong out of weakness, became mighty in battle, routed the armies of aliens. for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God for the casting down the strong holds [of corruption]; laying low proud reasonings, and every high thing which exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and making every thought captive to the obedience of Christ:
