But the high places were not taken away. Nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect with LORD all his days. And he brought into the house of LORD the things that his father had dedicated, and the things that he himself had dedicated, silver, and gold, and vessels. And there was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days. And Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah, and built Ramah, that he might not allow anyone to go out or come in to Asa king of Judah. Then Asa took all the silver and the gold that were left in the treasures of the house of LORD, and the treasures of the king's house, and delivered them into the hand of his servants. And king Asa sent them to Ben-hadad, the son o [There is] a league between me and thee, between my father and thy father. Behold, I have sent to thee a present of silver and gold. Go, break thy league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me. And Ben-hadad hearkened to king Asa, and sent the captains of his armies against the cities of Israel, and smote Ijon, and Dan, and Abel-beth-maacah, and all Chinneroth, with all the land of Naphtali. And it came to pass, when Baasha heard of it, that he left off building Ramah, and dwelt in Tirzah. Then king Asa made a proclamation to all Judah; none was exempted. And they carried away the stones of Ramah, and the timber of it, with which Baasha had built. And king Asa built with it Geba of Benjamin, and Mizpah. Now the rest of all the acts of Asa, and all his might, and all that he did, and the cities which he built, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? But in the time of his old age he was diseased in And Asa slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father. And Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his stead.

And if ye seek him, he will be found of you, but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you. Now for a long time Israel was without the TRUE God, and without a teaching priest, and without law. read more.
But when in their distress they turned to LORD, the God of Israel, and sought him, he was found by them. And in those times there was no peace to him who went out, nor to him who came in, but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the lands. And they were broken in pieces, nation against nation, and city against city. For God vexed them with all adversity. But be ye strong, and let not your hands be slack. For your work shall be rewarded.

And they entered into the covenant to seek LORD, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and with all their soul. And that whoever would not seek LORD, the God of Israel, should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman. And they swore to LORD with a loud voice, and with shouting, and with trumpets, and with cornets. read more.
