And Pilate permitted. Then he came and took the body of Jesus. And Nicodemus also, the one having come at first to Jesus by night, came, bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about a hundred pounds. And there was in the place where He was crucified, a garden; and in the garden a new sepulcher, in which no one was ever yet placed. Then on account of the Preparation of the Jews (because the sepulcher was near), they placed Jesus there.
