And He was teaching daily in the temple, and the chief priests and scribes and the first men of the people were seeking to destroy Him. And they were not finding what they might do; for all the people hung on Him, hearing Him.

And taking him, they cast him out of the vine-yard, and slew him. Then when the lord of the vine-yard may come, what will he do to those husbandmen? They say to Him, He will certainly destroy those wicked men, and give the vineyard to other husband-men, who will render to him the fruits in their seasons. Jesus says, Have you not read in the Scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same has come to be the head of the corner: this was with the Lord, and is marvelous in our eyes? Therefore I say unto you, that the kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits of it. OMITTED TEXT
