And on the morrow, when they had come from Bethany, he was hungry; and seeing a figtree afar off having leaves, he went to see whether he might find anything on it; and on coming to it he found nothing but leaves; for the season of figs had not come. And he answering said to it, Let no one eat fruit from thee henceforth for ever. And his disciples heard him.

Hear another parable. There was a householder, who planted a vineyard, and set a hedge about it, and dug in it a winepress, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went abroad. Jesus saith to them, Did ye never read in the Scriptures, "The stone which the builders rejected, the same hath become the cornerstone; from the Lord did this come, and it is marvelous in our eyes?" Therefore I say to you, that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you, and given to a nation yielding the fruits thereof. (...)
