Thematic Bible

I rejoice at the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus, because they have supplied what was lacking on your part. For they refreshed my spirit and yours also. Give recognition to such men.

For I have been informed by Chloe's people, that there are quarrels among you, my brethren.

This is the third time I am coming to you. Every charge must be established by the evidence of two or three witnesses.

But I will come to you after I go through Macedonia, for I am going through Macedonia; and perhaps I will stay with you or even spend the winter, so that you may help me on my journey, wherever I go. For I do not want to see you now just in passing; I hope to spend some time with you, if the Lord permits.

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, to the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints who are throughout Achaia:

I, Paul, write this greeting in my own hand. If anyone does not love the Lordlet him be accursed. Come, O Lord! The grace of The Lord Jesus be with you. read more.
My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.

For we write you nothing but what you can read and understand; and I hope you will understand fully,

But thanks be to God who puts the same earnest care for you into the heart of Titus. For he not only accepted our appeal, but being himself very earnest he is going to you of his own accord.

I urged Titus to go, and I sent the brother with him. Titus did not take advantage of you, did he? Did we not act in the same spirit and walk in the same steps?

Gaius, who is my host and the host of the whole church, greets you. Erastus, the treasurer of the city, greets you, and Quartus, our brother.

Erastus remained at Corinth, but Trophimus I left sick at Miletus.

Now if Christ is preached that he has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?

What! Do you not have houses to eat and drink in? Or do you despise the church of God and humiliate those who have nothing? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you in this? No, I will not.

For when one says, "I am of Paul," and another, "I am of Apollos," are you not mere men?

I planned to visit you on my way to Macedonia and to come back to you from Macedonia, and then to have you send me on my way to Judea.

While Apollos was at Corinth, Paul passed through the upper country and came to Ephesus. There he found some disciples.

Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, believed in the Lord, together with all his household; and many of the Corinthians who heard him believed and were baptized.

I am thankful that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius,

I rejoice at the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus, because they have supplied what was lacking on your part.

Then he left there and went to the house of a man named Titius Justus, a worshiper of God, whose house was next door to the synagogue.

After this he left Athens and went to Corinth. And he found a Jew named Aquila, a native of Pontus, having recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla, because Claudius had commanded all the Jews to leave Rome. He went to see them, and because he was of the same trade he stayed with them, and they worked, for by trade they were tentmakers.

Gaius, who is my host and the host of the whole church, greets you. Erastus, the treasurer of the city, greets you, and Quartus, our brother.

You know that the household of Stephanas were the first converts in Achaia, and they have devoted themselves to the service of the saints. Now I urge you, brethren,

(Now I did baptize also the household of Stephanas; beyond that, I do not know whether I baptized any one else.)

I rejoice at the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus, because they have supplied what was lacking on your part.
