For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Then I fell at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, "You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brethren who hold the testimony of Jesus. Worship God. For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."

Therefore he had to be made like his brethren in every respect, so that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in the service of God, to make atonement for the sins of the people.

But you are not to be called 'Rabbi,' for you have only one Master, and you are all brethren.

And the King will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me.'

"I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in me through their word;

For no other foundation can any one lay than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which he purchased with the blood of his Own.

For I am afraid that when I come I may not find you what I wish you to be, and you may not find me what you wish me to be; I fear that there may be quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, factions, slander, gossip, arrogance and disorder.

I fear for you, that perhaps I have labored over you in vain.

Therefore be alert, remembering that for three years I did not cease night and day to admonish each one with tears.

So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will instead of a fish give him a serpent? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"

And corresponding to that, baptism now saves younot the removal of dirt from the flesh, but an appeal to God for a good consciencethrough the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

in whom the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord;

Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord;

The elders who rule well are to be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who work hard at preaching and teaching.

And this they did, sending it to the elders by Barnabas and Saul.
