How they are brought into desolation, as in a moment! They have come to an end; they are utterly consumed with terrors.

Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, and his own feet shall drive him away. His strength shall be hungerbitten, and destruction shall be ready at his side. They shall devour the protection of his skin; the firstborn of death shall devour his members. read more.
His confidence shall be rooted out of his tent, and he shall be brought to the king of terrors. He shall dwell in his tent, as if it were not his; brimstone shall be scattered upon his habitation.

The rich man shall lie down, but he shall not be gathered; he shall open his eyes and not see anyone. Terrors shall take hold on him as waters; a whirlwind shall carry him away in the night. The east wind shall take him away, and he shall depart; the storm shall catch him up out of his place.


His memory shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name in the streets.




but thou shalt die in peace: and according to the burnings of thy fathers, the former kings which were before thee, so shall they burn odours for thee; and they will lament thee, saying, Ah lord! for I have pronounced the word, said the LORD.

Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he began to reign and reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. They spend their days in pleasure and in a moment go down to Sheol.

That same night Belshazzar the king of the Chaldeans was slain.


So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then the king's wrath was pacified.


Like sheep they are laid in Sheol; death shall feed on them, and the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning, and their beauty shall be consumed in the grave from their dwelling.
