And ye expressly annul the commandment of God, that ye may retain your own tradition; for Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, He that revileth father or mother, let him be put to death:
---This is that Moses who said unto the children of Israel, "A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you, of your brethren, like unto me; Him shall ye hear." This is he who was in the assembly in the wilderness, with the angel that spake to him on mount Sinai, and with our fathers; and who received the oracles of life to give unto us.
