And Moses replied, Thou also must give us sacrifices and burnt offerings that we may sacrifice unto the LORD our God.

And he sent the young men of the sons of Israel, who had offered burnt offerings and sacrificed peace offerings of bullocks unto the LORD.


Now this is that which thou shalt offer upon the altar: two lambs of the first year every day continually. The one lamb thou shalt offer in the morning, and the other lamb thou shalt offer at evening. Moreover a tenth ephah of flour mingled with the fourth part of a hin of beaten oil and the fourth part of a hin of wine with each lamb. read more.
And thou shalt offer the other lamb at evening, doing according to the present of the morning and according to its drink offering thereof, for a sweet savour, an offering on fire unto the LORD. This shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your ages at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony before the LORD, where I will concert with you, to speak there unto you.

And Moses took half of the blood and put it in basins, and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar. And he took the book of the covenant and read in the audience of the people, and they said, All that the LORD has said we will do, and we will hear. read more.
Then Moses took the blood and sprinkled it on the people and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD has made with you concerning all these words.

And he put the lampstand in the tabernacle of the testimony, over against the table, on the side of the Negev of the tabernacle. And he lighted the lamps before the LORD, as the LORD had commanded Moses. He also put the golden altar in the tabernacle of the testimony before the veil. read more.
And he burnt aromatic incense on it, as the LORD had commanded Moses. In the same manner he set up the hanging at the door of the tabernacle. And he put the altar of burnt offering by the door of the tabernacle, of the tabernacle of the testimony, and offered upon it the burnt offering and the present, as the LORD had commanded Moses.


And Moses came and told the people all the words of the LORD and all the rights, and all the people answered with one voice and said, All the words which the LORD has said we will do. And Moses wrote all the words of the LORD and rose up early in the morning and built an altar at the foot of the mount and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel. And the priests went into the inner part of the house of the LORD, to cleanse it, and brought out all the uncleanness that they found in the temple of the LORD into the court of the house of the LORD. And the Levites took it, to carry it out abroad into the Brook Kidron.

When Jethro, the priest of Midian, Moses' father-in-law, heard of all that God had done with Moses and with Israel his people and how the LORD had brought Israel out of Egypt,

And the priests and the Levites that were in all Israel gathered unto him out of all their borders.

And also let the priests who come near to the LORD, sanctify themselves lest the LORD break forth upon them.


For when Moses had read every commandment of the law to all the people, taking the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, he sprinkled both the book and all the people, saying, This is the blood of the testament which God has commanded unto you. Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry. read more.
And almost all things are by the law purged with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.

then he shall take the living bird and the cedar wood, and the scarlet and the hyssop and shall dip them and the living bird in the blood of the bird that was killed over the living water; and he shall sprinkle upon the one that is to be purified from the leprosy seven times and shall pronounce him clean and shall let the living bird loose into the open field.

neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the sanctuary designed for eternal redemption. For if the blood of bulls and of goats and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctified to the purifying of the flesh, how much more shall the blood of the Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from the works of death to serve the living God?

And Jethro, Moses' father-in-law, took burnt offerings and sacrifices for God; and Aaron came, and all the elders of Israel, to eat bread with Moses' father-in-law before God.
