Thy first father hath sinned, and thy teachers have transgressed against me.

Simon Peter saith to him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.

So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith to him, Yes, Lord: thou knowest that I love thee. He saith to him, Feed my lambs. He saith to him again the second time, Simon son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith to him, Yes, Lord: thou knowest that I love thee. He saith to him, Feed my sheep. He saith to him the third time, Simon son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved, because he said to him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said to him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith to him, Feed my sheep.


And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it is thou, bid me come to thee on the water.

Then answered Peter, and said to Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah.

Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith to Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt on his fisher's coat, (for he was naked) and cast himself into the sea.


Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be to thee.

Peter saith to him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.

Then Simon Peter, having a sword, drew it, and smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus.


But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.

Now Peter sat without in the palace: and a damsel came to him, saying, Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee. But he denied before them all, saying, I know not what thou sayest. And when he had gone out into the porch, another maid saw him, and said to them that were there, This man was also with Jesus of Nazareth. read more.
And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man.





Then answered Peter and said to him, Declare to us this parable. And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding?


And when she saw Peter warming himself, she looked upon him, and said, And thou also wast with Jesus of Nazareth. But he denied, saying, I know not, neither do I understand what thou sayest. And he went out into the porch; and the cock crowed. And a maid saw him again, and began to say to them that stood by, This is one of them. read more.
And he denied it again. And a little after, they that stood by said again to Peter, Surely thou art one of them: for thou art a Galilean, and thy speech agreeth thereto. But he began to curse and to swear, saying, I know not this man of whom ye speak.


Then answered Peter, and said to him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee? what shall we have therefore?


Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.


And immediately they forsook their nets, and followed him.
