{And} at the going out of Moses to the tent, all the people would rise and stand, each at the opening of his tent, and gaze after Moses until his entering the tent.

They also honored us with many honors, and [when we] were putting out to sea, they gave [us] the [things] {we needed}.

Therefore welcome him in the Lord with all joy, and consider such [people] highly honored,

Now we ask you, brothers, to respect those who labor among you and rule over you in the Lord and admonish you, and to esteem them beyond all measure in love, because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves.




But immediately a woman whose young daughter was possessed by an unclean spirit, [when she] heard about him, came [and] fell down at his feet,

And behold, a leper approached [and] worshiped him, saying, "Lord, if you are willing, you are able to make me clean."

[As] he was saying these [things] to them, behold, one of the rulers came [and] knelt down before him, saying, "My daughter has just now died, but come, place your hand on her and she will live!"

But she came [and] knelt down before him, saying, "Lord, help me!"

Then the mother of the sons of Zebedee came up to him with her sons, [and] kneeling down [she] asked something from him.

And one of the rulers of the synagogue came--Jairus by name--and [when he] saw him, he fell down at his feet.




Guard your steps when you go to the house of God; draw near to listen [rather] than to offer a sacrifice of fools, for they do not know that they are doing evil.

And to the ones selling the doves he said, "Take these [things] away from here! Do not make my Father's house {a marketplace}!"


Then Elihu the son of Barakel the Buzite {spoke up} and said, "{I am young}, but you are old; therefore I feared and became afraid of explaining my knowledge to you.



Thus Elihu had waited for Job {to speak} because {they were older than he}. When Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of the three men, {he became angry}. Then Elihu the son of Barakel the Buzite {spoke up} and said, "{I am young}, but you are old; therefore I feared and became afraid of explaining my knowledge to you. read more.
I thought, 'Let days speak, and let many years teach wisdom.'

Do not rebuke an older man, but appeal to [him] as a father, younger men as brothers, older women as mothers, younger women as sisters, with all purity.
