{To the chief Musician. On Jeduthun. A Psalm of David.} Upon God alone doth my soul rest peacefully; from him is my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation; my high fortress: I shall not be greatly moved.



Their strength! ... I will take heed to thee; for God is my high fortress. God, whose loving-kindness will come to meet me, God shall let me see my desire upon mine enemies.




For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but it hasteth to the end, and shall not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; for it will surely come, it will not delay.


And now, what wait I for, Lord? my hope is in thee. Deliver me from all my transgressions; make me not the reproach of the foolish.


Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress, so our eyes are directed to Jehovah our God, until he be gracious unto us.


Make me to walk in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.




and, being assembled with them, commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to await the promise of the Father, which said he ye have heard of me.
