God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the sky, and over the livestock, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." God created man in his own image. In God's image he created him; male and female he created them. God blessed them. God said to them, "Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it. Have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the sky, and over every living thing that moves on the earth."







Thus says the Lord Yahweh to these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live.

but have lifted up yourself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before you, and you and your lords, your wives and your concubines, have drunk wine from them; and you have praised the gods of silver and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which don't see, nor hear, nor know; and the God in whose hand your breath is, and whose are all your ways, you have not glorified.


All in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, of all that was on the dry land, died.







For ask now of the days that are past, which were before you, since the day that God created man on the earth, and from the one end of the sky to the other, whether there has been [any such thing] as this great thing is, or has been heard like it?

For you have made him a little lower than God, and crowned him with glory and honor.


and have forgotten Yahweh your Maker, who stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and fear continually all the day because of the fury of the oppressor, when he makes ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor?







all flesh would perish together, and man would turn again to dust.

All go to one place. All are from the dust, and all turn to dust again.

Abraham answered, "See now, I have taken it on myself to speak to the Lord, who am but dust and ashes.

Remember, I beg you, that you have fashioned me as clay. Will you bring me into dust again?

Therefore Yahweh God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from which he was taken.


How much more, those who dwell in houses of clay, whose foundation is in the dust, who are crushed before the moth!

Behold, I am toward God even as you are. I am also formed out of the clay.



Thus says God Yahweh, he who created the heavens and stretched them out, he who spread out the earth and that which comes out of it, he who gives breath to its people and spirit to those who walk in it.

For as I passed along, and observed the objects of your worship, I found also an altar with this inscription: 'TO AN UNKNOWN GOD.' What therefore you worship in ignorance, this I announce to you. The God who made the world and all things in it, he, being Lord of heaven and earth, doesn't dwell in temples made with hands, neither is he served by men's hands, as though he needed anything, seeing he himself gives to all life and breath, and all things.

The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life. If you can, answer me. Set your words in order before me, and stand forth. Behold, I am toward God even as you are. I am also formed out of the clay.
