[Although] God spoke long ago in many parts and in many ways to the fathers by the prophets, in these last days he has spoken to us by a Son, whom he appointed heir of all [things], through whom also he made the world, who is the radiance of his glory and the representation of his essence, sustaining all [things] by the word of power. [When he] had made purification for sins through him, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, read more.
having become by so much better than the angels, by as much as he has inherited a more excellent name than theirs.


But now he has attained a more excellent ministry, by as much as he is also mediator of a better covenant which has been enacted upon better promises.

saying, "What you see, write in a book and send [it] to the seven churches: to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamum and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea."


The one who comes from above is over all. The one who is from the earth is from the earth and speaks from the earth; the one who comes from heaven is over all.





having become by so much better than the angels, by as much as he has inherited a more excellent name than theirs.

For this one is considered worthy of greater glory than Moses, inasmuch as the one who builds it has greater honor than the house.


But now he has attained a more excellent ministry, by as much as he is also mediator of a better covenant which has been enacted upon better promises.
