For the backsliding of the simple shall kill them, and the careless ease of fools shall destroy them. But he who hearkens to me shall dwell securely, and shall be quiet without fear of evil.

Thus says LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place.

For if ye thoroughly amend your ways and your doings, if ye thoroughly execute justice between a man and his neighbor,

It may be they will hearken, and turn every man from his evil way, that I may relent of the evil which I purpose to do to them because of the evil of their doings.
