This is why many are sick and ill among you, and many have fallen asleep. If we were properly evaluating ourselves, we would not be judged,

Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith. Examine yourselves. Or do you yourselves not recognize that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless you fail the test.

But each person should examine his own work, and then he will have a reason for boasting in himself alone, and not in respect to someone else.

This is how we will know we belong to the truth and will convince our conscience in His presence, even if our conscience condemns us, that God is greater than our conscience, and He knows all things. Dear friends, if our conscience doesn’t condemn us, we have confidence before God
