For this reason, it is needful that we give the more earnest heed to the things heard, lest at any time we drift past them. For, if the word spoken through angels became steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a righteous recompense, how shall we escape, having neglected so great salvation; which, indeed, having at first been spoken through the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard;
See that ye refuse not Him Who speaketh; for, if those escaped not, when refusing him who warned them on earth, much more shall not we escape, who turn away from Him Who warneth us from Heaven;
