The earth was corrupt in God's sight. It was full of violence. God saw how corrupt the earth had become. All the people on earth had corrupted their ways. God said to Noah: I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am going to destroy them with the earth.

Those accused of murder may be found guilty and put to death only on the evidence of two or more witnesses. The evidence of one witness is not sufficient to support an accusation of murder. Murderers must be put to death. They cannot escape this penalty by the payment of money. Jehovah is my strength and my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.
