Thus says LORD, who makes a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters, who brings forth the chariot and horse, the army and the mighty man (they lay down together; they shall not rise; they are extinct; they are quenched as a wick): Do not remember ye the former things, nor consider the things of old. read more.
Behold, I will do a new thing. Now it shall spring forth. Shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. The beasts of the field shall honor me, the jackals and the ostriches, because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen, the people whom I formed for myself, that they might set forth my praise. Yet thou have not called upon me, O Jacob, but thou have been weary of me, O Israel. Thou have not brought me from thy sheep for burnt-offerings, nor have thou honored me with thy sacrifices. I have not burdened thee with offerings, nor wearied thee with frankincense. Thou have bought me no sweet cane with money, nor have thou filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices. Forgetting » What the lord will forget
Who is a God like to thee, who pardons iniquity, and passes over the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? He does not retain his anger forever, because he delights in loving kindness. He will again have compassion upon us. He will tread our iniquities under foot, and thou will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. Thou will perform the truth to Jacob, [and] the loving kindness to Abraham, which thou have sworn to our fathers from the days of old.
