For this is willfully ignored by them, that long ago there were heavens, and an earth that came together out of water and by water by the word of God,

I have heard what the prophets have said, who prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed. How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets who prophesy lies, even the prophets of the deceit of their own heart? Who think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbor, as their fathers forgot my name for Baal.

But Jeshurun grew fat, and kicked. Thou have grown fat. Thou have grown thick. Thou have become sleek. Then he forsook God who made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation. They moved him to jealousy with strange [gods]. With abominations they provoked him to anger. They sacrificed to demons, not God, to gods that they knew not, to new [gods] that came up of late, which your fathers did not dread.read more.

How long, O LORD? Will thou forget me forever? How long will thou hide thy face from me?
